Construction Skills Certification Scheme

KXCSC are an accredited test centre for CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme).

The CITB Construction Skills Health and Safety environment test (CSCS) is essential to further a candidate's career in construction. This card is required by law for any person wishing to work on a construction site.

The test is an integral part of the construction industry improving health and safety, and environmental standards.

Practice sessions are free.

The CSCS test is £20 (discounted for Camden residents) and £30 for other boroughs.

The card will cost £30 and is payable to CITB, which is separate to us.

Once a candidate has gained their CSCS card they will be given support from the job brokerage and IAG team in looking for suitable employment opportunities.

There is new requirement introduced in July 2014 that states along with the CITB Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E) Test, a NVQ qualification (or alternative) within a construction trade must be achieved in order to apply for the Green Card which is valid for 5 years.

If you do not hold an NVQ or equivalent we are pleased to announce that delivery of the Level 1 Award is currently taking place at Kings Cross Construction Skills Centre.

This is a one day course were you will achieve a BTEC qualification which is a lifetime award, it is an intense course which covers 5 units and tested within that day.

This award is for someone who has previous experience within the industry and needs a refresher around Health and safety policies and procedures.
