An apprenticeship is the best way to get into the construction industry and gain a recognised vocational qualification, leading to NVQ Level 2 in your chosen trade. Successful completion of an apprenticeship will give you the skills, knowledge and practical experience you need to enter the workforce.

An apprenticeship means you will spend part of your time studying and the rest of your time will be spent on construction sites, gaining practical experience and applying your skills in the real world of construction.

King’s Cross Construction Skills Centre (KXCSC) offer a variety of training courses available free to unemployed local residents.

At KXCSC, in partnership with our training provider College of North West London, we offer construction training:

  • Multi skills

And level 2 diplomas

  • Carpentry and joinery

The training is available to Camden and Islington residents aged 16 to 18 and 19 plus .

In addition to the above courses KXCSC help 16 to 24 year old local residents access apprenticeships in a variety of trades from steel fixing to site management and many more, in and around Camden and on the exciting innovative new development at King's Cross Central.
